Morning came all too quickly for the pair. Despite how they fought the break of dawn, all they could do was savor the night as the rich darkness began to fade to gray.
When the daylight became stronger, Kasai found them and prompted Cain to make his escape in a portal of her conjuring. Reluctantly he obliged and departed as Diana watched, on the verge of tears despite his protests. When he had gone, she returned to her den to sulk, oblivious to Kasai's attempts at consolation. This is where Velan found them that melancholy morning.
"Good morning, my love," he greeted cheerfully, completely ignoring Kasai as he strolled into the clearing. No answer came from Diana. "Good morning," he repeated, slightly more forceful.
She sighed. "good morning, Velan," she murmured sullenly.
"Still upset, are you, about Latybalt's murder by that awful Shiroke boy?" he asked. "Never fear, my moon - his punishment was just and cruel, as it should be. That whelp shall never torment us again."

Chasity slid carefully through the oak front door of her castle. What a day this has been. She had thought that finding out a Shiroke, much less the heir to the Alpha, was in love with a newblood had been strange. This was only amplified by the pair's arrival and discussion, and then Diana's decision not to go to the Human Realm. But topping it all off was Cain's arrival at her door not even an hour ago.
As she took off her cloak and lit the torch with a wave of her hand, she replayed the image of the 'wolf standing at her doorstep, bloodstained, wide-eyed, and panting. She hadn't recognized him at first, for night had fallen and he was near hysterics. Once he had identified himself and come inside, however, Chasity could tell something was very wrong.
She pulled the torch from its bracket and started down the hall, towards the room where she had left the werewolf to calm himself down and clean himself up. Once there, she entered carefully. "I'm back."
He lay, still wolven, by t

"So what happened again?" Diana asked for the third time, unable to believe a word she was hearing.
Kasai sighed. "If you must know again, first Latybalt and Cain's sister, Arabelle, started fighting, then Cain showed up and tried to split it apart. So then Latybalt killed Aratio and Cain attacked her. He killed her, and everyone ran to Desdamona, and she ordered that Cain was exiled for fighting in public and anyone that comes across him should immediately kill him."
Diana groaned and fell back into her bed of leaves in her forest den. "No. No! What the heck is wrong with him? I didn't even know he had a sister...." She paused, still trying to soak it all in. "No...no....I refuse to believe it. No. Are you sure?" She sat up again, looking to her friend.
Kasai stood up from her seat at a table-like stump. "Believe what you want," she said, beginning to walk away, "but don't be surprised when he doesn't show up for a couple of weeks."
"No, Kasai, wait!" she yelped.

"Aratio, perhaps we should return to our territory," said one of the faes. Only a fraction of the group of juveniles remained with the Alpha's daughter as she stalked through the dusky city, and all were trying to convince her to give up.
"No," she said, padding angrily along in wolf form. "I'm going to find my idiotic runaway brother if it kills me."
"Night is falling," observed another of her comrades. "Our enemies will be about."
Ara whirled on him, becoming human. "If you want to turn tail and flee back to the pack, to are most welcome." She cast an icy glance over the rest of the group. "I, however, am going to scour this Darkess-blessed city until I find my brother and kick his tail before he decides to run off again! I am not going to bear the punishment for his lack-witted actions -"
"Oh, great," groaned a Shiroke. "Here comes Latybalt."
Ara growled to herself, turning and sighting the weretiger at the opposite end of the square. "Let her come. Her pathetic antics

Chasity sighed and crossed her arms. "You're sure she's going to come?"
"Yes. Absolutely," said Cain, sitting on the castle steps and gazing out over the grounds.
"I hope you know that if this is all one big joke, I'm knocking your butt from here to next year."
"It's not a hoax, Chasity. I swear on my life."
She frowned, still only half-convinced, and followed his gaze out across her land. The sun was setting, transforming the already gray daylight into deep ebony night. Sunsets here are nothing like the ones in the Human Realm, she thought, remembering the vibrant oranges and pinks that painted the other world's sky. She was on the verge of mentioning this to Cain when he suddenly yelped in surprise.
He laughed, pulling Diana's hands from his eyes. "How did you sneak up on us?" he asked, standing and hugging her.
"Dude, anyone can be snuck up on when they're spaced out. Trust me," she said. "Hey, Chasity," she added, pulling out of his arms.
The witch smiled

WHERE THE HECK IS SHE?
Diana perched atop a boulder at the edge of the Shadowed Moon's forest, glaring into the distance. She was supposed to be back an hour ago. A freaking hour! Okay, so I only sent her an hour ago, but still. It doesn't take someone that long to go to town and back, especially a vampire! I bet Rhane's slowing her down. I knew it was a bad idea for her to bring him. I still don't know what she sees in him. To each her own, I guess. She's got hers, and I've got mine. She felt a slight thrill at the thought.
But still, what the heck is taking her so long? If she understood how important this is, maybe she would hurry! I mean really, how hard is it to hustle a little? It's only to the city! How could she dilly-dally while I'm sittin' here tearing my hair out over - holy crap! There she is!
Finally realizing that the approaching speck she had seen were the vampires, she leapt off of the rock, streaking towards them. "KASAI!!" she howled

"Screw this; I'm going back to bed," Spike muttered, turning back towards the tunnels. The slam of the exit sealing shut had ceased the cave's rumbling and crumbling, but now the walls echoed with cries and yells of trapped Pokemon and trainers. The electric lights placed within the ceiling had gone out, their power sources cut off, and now the captives blundered through a darkness that was illuminated only by the flames of fire Pokemon and the occasional flash light.
Most of the Pokemon and trainers began to converge and discuss what to do next, while others continued to barrage the door with attacks and shouts for escape. The loudest of these, an Espeon with a red scarf, seemed particularly adamant.
"JARVIS! Jarvis, you Superpower this door open this instant! I swear to Arceus, Jarvis, if I get a single speck of dirt on my fur I will hold you accountable!" The Espeon charged up a Shadow Ball and flung it at the stone barrier, where it exploded and knocked aside a whimpering Solosis.
