In this epic recounting of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, follow Aithne as she escapes the exile from her homeland of Karoria and joins forces with Team Shynanygans to save their land from the outbreak of demons that have escaped from Hell. Faced with a bleak future of war with the rulers of Hell, will Shynanygans be able to prevent Karoria from falling into an age of darkness?
The DnD Saga: EXILED pt.1 I couldn’t have told you how long I was on that boat. Days seem like hours and minutes like eternity when it’s so dark that not even a gnome’s eyes can detect the light. After a while the only things one becomes aware of are the rub of the shackles on one’s wrists and ankles, the grit of the unforgiving wooden floor, and the increasing stench of neglected prisoners who are left to wallow in their own filth as they are taken to their deaths. At first it seemed like hell on earth, until I remembered that this was only the transport to a much harsher punishment.
The DnD Saga: EXILED pt. 2RRROOOOOOOAAAAARRRK!!
The DnD Saga: EXILED pt. 3Lightning rent the storm clouds overhead. A barren expanse of land stretched before me, blending into the sky at the place where the horizon should have been. There was no wind, no rain, despite the apparent tempest that roiled above; only the crackle of lightning could be heard, striking the earth all around. A bolt split the air behind me - I spun around to find myself before a great gate, which rose high above my head and stretched further than I could see on both sides. A cloaked figure stood before it, silent as the grave, and behind them darkness reigned over the land.
The DnD Saga: EXILED pt. 4Ithehlu’s arrow soared over our heads, disappearing into the darkness. However, for all its height, it did not reach the giant spider in the distance. As the arachnid faded into the shadows, we took this to mean that it was too far away to be of any threat...for now.
DnD Saga: Shynanygans pt. 1.0Karoria, the 11th Age. More than two thousand years have passed since the first outbreak of demons in the southern Dwarven tunnels, and the world has fallen into ruin. Unable to stem the flow of monsters rising from Hell, the races of Karoria found themselves at war with the vile creatures, fighting to protect the land and the lives they loved. For some time the two sides seemed evenly matched, until the day that the High Demons emerged from the depths of the earth and threw the world into chaos. The sun faded into darkness behind a miasma of shadow that engulfed the entire sky. Fortress after fortress fell to the High Demons, until every race was chased underground into the Dwarven strongholds, the last defense against complete annihilation. Now every race in Karoria - humans, elves, dwarves, even orcs - was united under a single banner and geared toward a single cause: the reclamation of their great land.
DnD Saga: Shynanygans Part 1.5“You little bitch!” cried Rogar as he slammed Grey’s shoulders into the floor. He and the fetchling tumbled across the ground, grappling with each other as the dwarf tried his best to break the lithe summoner into pieces. Grey twisted and turned to avoid the brunt of it, but Rogar clearly had the upper hand.
DnD Saga: Shynanygans Part 2As the dust settled around the wreckage of the door, it revealed the dumbfounded faces of four guards, two standing before a staircase and two sitting at a table with a deck of cards spread before them. Enzo and Rogar stepped through the doorway and the men scrambled to get into action; as the closest of the standing pair made his way towards them, Rogar lifted his fists and gave him a daunting glare. “Do you really want to do this?” he asked.
